Welcome!

I'm Haran Arasaratnam. I'm currently working at Apple Inc. Before moving to Silicon Valley, I also worked as a senior R&D engineer at Ford Motor Company of Canada Ltd for almost five years.

I earned my Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a concentration in Statistical Signal Processing from McMaster University. During my Ph.D., I developed the cubature Kalman filter (CKF) theory, which is a predictor-corrector model based estimation strategy that guarantees to extract the second order information from sensor measurements optimally and recursively. The CKF is considered as the state-of-the-art state estimator and widely used in solving nonlinear estimation and control problems.

In this website, you can find some of my past research work and hobby projects. Please drop me an email at haran.arasaratnam@icloud.com for feedback and comments.
